Manhasset ALLSTARS (SOUTH) is looking for experience basketball coaches, who is high energy & love kids.

We are a non-profit travel basketball club housing team grades 4th & 11th. We are located in the Winter Garden, and we play and participate in AAU, USSSA, YBOA, and JR. Magic sanctioned games throughout the Poincianna Kisseemmee area. We are currently looking for a Head and Assistant Coaches for our 4th, 11th grade teams. Our staff would love to talk to candidates with a true passion for shaping and developing the youth of our community. We the Manhasset ALLSTARS have a strong belief that leadership start at the top, and pride ourselves in the talented coaches we currently have volunteering in our program.

Below is a list of responsibilities and requirements you'll find necessary to participate with the ALLSTARS.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting team practice twice a week (1.5 + hours each practice ).

2. Preparing practice plan for practice Teaching team defensive and offensive sets Help team execute coaching plan during games and tournaments.

3. Provide basketball knowledge to youth players looking to better themselves and their game.

4. Ous season begins September - May, Summer basketball is optional in June -August.

Requirements:

1. Coaches must have coached or played on a College, High School or an AAU basketball team. Coaches who coached in recreational leagues must be willing to sit as an assistant before becoming a Head Coach.

2. Must understand how to run defensive sets (example: 3-2 zone, 2-3 zone, Diamond press, 1-3-1 zone, man 2 man).

3. Must understand how to run offensive sets (example: Full court press break, High low 2-3 zone break, 5 out offensive).

4. Skills Basketball iQ and game sense. Knowledge on proper basketball mechanics. An understanding of Pick and Roll in an offense

Must have a clean criminal background.
